Time for another live show!
This one will be noteworthy for a couple of reasons. First, it has been a while since the last show. Summer has a way of passing by too quickly. That, family obligations and even a road gig got in the way. Second, this will be the last show under the “DJM1K” URL. We are rebranding all shows under the “Beanpot Radio” brand and coming up with new names and imagery for our House, AOR, Punk and Yacht Rock shows. All URLs / names will be common across all platforms, including Mixcloud, Web, Facebook, Instagram, Email and Twitch TV. So long Zero-Day Live! This one ran since covid!
Speaking of Twitch TV, there have been new developments we are sure to test on the next stream. Twitch now operates similar to Mixcloud in that we no longer have to worry about takedowns. This was never a problem for live shows, but it was an issue if we were to post the recording. Now if they are left up, and if monetized, will reward the artists played during the set. The is all based on viewership tiers so a ham-and-egger like me won’t be on anyone’s radar until there are enough eyeballs.
